U.S. Office of Personnel Management - Ensuring the Federal Government has an effective civilian workforce

This set of fiscal year cubes provides access to accession data.  The numbers reflect the actual number of personnel actions ("Transfer-Ins" and "New Hires") that have taken place within a given fiscal year.  Accessions cubes are available for:

1. Current fiscal year to date
2. Past five fiscal years

The following dimensions (workforce characteristics) are available for analysis in these cubes:

1. Who (about the employees)
   • Gender
   • Age (5 year interval)
   • Length of Service (5 year interval)
     
     
2. What (about their positions)
   • Occupation
   • Occupation Category
   • Pay Plan and Grade
   • General Schedule and Related Grade
   • Salary Level ($10,000 interval)
   • Work Schedule
   • Type of Appointment
     
     
3. Where
   • Agency
   • Location (foreign, U.S. state and county)
     • U.S. county excluded starting in Fiscal Year 2004 (2nd Quarter)
   • Metropolitan Statistical Area
     • MSA excluded starting in Fiscal Year 2004 (2nd Quarter)
       
       
4. When
   • Date
     • 12 months in fiscal year

The following three measures (statistics) are available in these cubes:

1. Count (default measure)
2. Average Salary
3. Average Length of Service
